小脳病変が特徴的であったMELAS症例に関するletterがInternal Medicine誌のオンライン版に掲載されました。

MELAS（mitochondrial myopathy, encephalopathy, lactic acidosis, and stroke-like episodes）は急性発作期に頭部MRIにて脳卒中と類似した異常所見を呈し、主に側頭葉、頭頂葉、後頭葉に病変がみられます。先日、当教室の村松Drらは、小脳病変が特徴的であったMELASの症例を報告し、Internal Medicine誌に掲載されました（Intern Med. 2019; 58: 1797-1798. ）。その臨床経過などを追記したletterが、Internal Medicine誌のオンライン版に掲載されました 。
